Construction Law

As the Gulf South region rebuilds, the construction industry expands. The construction litigators of Blue Williams have vast experience in all aspects of construction law, as well as related labor and commercial issues. We represent contractors, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and architects, and have litigated numerous construction defect claims in multi-million dollar projects, including those under the Louisiana New Home Warranty Act. Our experience covers claims arising from structural, envelope, HVAC, foundation, plumbing, and electrical issues.

Blue Williams represents several of the largest general contractors in the New Orleans area, and we are proud of our successful defense litigation history. We represented the general contractor in one of the first multi-party mold claims to be litigated in the New Orleans area.

In addition, our construction law team represents numerous clients in transactional matters, lien litigation, contractual disputes, claims for extra work, casualty, and collection matters. Blue Williams also assesses clients with insurance issues, indemnity and hold-harmless agreements, additional insured requirements, and miscellaneous contractual provisions.

Since the firm’s inception over 25 years ago, Blue Williams has been privileged to help pave the way for the Gulf South construction industry’s growth.
