Patrick K. Shockey


Attorney Brief

Mr. Shockey joined Blue Williams as an associate in 2014, focusing on toxic tort litigation, occupational disease, products liability, and personal and commercial property casualty litigation.


Mr. Shockey earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Louisiana State University in 2010.  He graduated cum laude from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2014, earning his juris doctorate in civil law. He was recognized as a William L. Crowe Scholar for graduating in the top ten percent of his class. While attending Loyola, Mr. Shockey was a member of the Loyola Law Review, the Trial Advocacy Program and practiced civil and criminal law as a Student Practitioner in the Litigation and Technology Section of Loyola’s Stuart H. Smith Law Clinic. He was also a recipient of various academic scholarships. Mr. Shockey received Law Excellence Awards for achieving the highest grade in the Litigation and Technology Section of the Law Clinic, Copyright Law, and Community Property.


Mr. Shockey was born and raised in New Orleans. He joined Blue Williams in 2014 after clerking with the firm during the summers of his first and second years in law school.

Awards and Recognition

Mr. Shockey was selected as a “Rising Star” in the field of General Litigation by Louisiana Super Lawyers publication in 2019.

Mr. Shockey is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association. He is currently admitted to practice in all state courts in Louisiana.
