Attorney Brief

Mrs. Canizaro joined Blue Williams as a contract associate in 2012 and was named partner in 2019. Her practice consists primarily of maritime personal injury and federal Longshore compensation claims.


Mrs. Canizaro graduated summa cum laude from Loyola University New Orleans in 2004, where she received her bachelor of arts degree in English literature.  In 2007, she received her juris doctorate and bachelor of civil law degrees from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University.


Following law school, Mrs. Canizaro served two years as attorney advisor for the Honorable C. Richard Avery, an administrative law judge with the Department of Labor. Prior to joining Blue Williams, she practiced primarily in the areas of maritime personal injury, federal workers’ compensation and insurance defense.

Bar, Courts & Professional Affiliations

Mrs. Canizaro was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in 2007. She is admitted to practice in all courts of Louisiana, the Eastern District Federal Court in Louisiana, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit. She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, as well as the Women’s International Shipping and Trade Association (WISTA).
