Whitney C. Stewart


Attorney Brief

Ms. Stewart is an associate in the Metairie office and joined the firm in 2019. Her practice consists primarily of environmental and toxic tort litigation, including asbestos litigation, occupational disease, and products liability.


Ms. Stewart graduated with honors from Southern University and A&M College in 2013, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology.  In 2019, she obtained her Juris Doctor from the Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, graduating magna cum laude.  She was also recognized for graduating in the top five percent of her class. While at SULC, Ms. Stewart was a member of the Journal of Race, Gender, & Poverty, where she served as Executive Editor. In addition, she was a member of the National Black Law Students Association, Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity, the Southern University Law Center American Inn of Court, and the Student Bar Association.


Ms. Stewart was admitted to the bar in 2019. While attending law school, she served as a Judicial Law Extern to the Honorable Brian A. Jackson, United States District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana.  Ms. Stewart, also, clerked at several firms in the New Orleans and Baton Rouge area, including Blue Williams, as a summer associate. In addition, Ms. Stewart is a Writing Fellow at the Southern University Law Center, where she teaches bar preparation for the Louisiana State Bar Examination and ethics for the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination.

Bars, Courts, and Professional Affiliations

Ms. Stewart is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Louisiana. She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the New Orleans Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, and the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel. She is the co-chair of the Young Lawyers Committee of the Greater New Orleans Louis A. Martinet Legal Society. In addition, she is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
