Alexis A. Smith

Ms. Smith is an associate attorney in the Mandeville office and has been with the firm since 2025. Her practice consists primarily of medical malpractice defense.

Education

Ms. Smith received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication from the Louisiana State University Manship School of Mass Communication in 2020. She received her Juris Doctor degree, summa cum laude, from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, graduating in the top 5% of her class as a William L. Crowe Scholar. While in law school, Ms. Smith served as an editor for the Loyola Law Review and participated as an oralist and brief writer in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration team. Ms. Smith was also inducted into the Order of Barristers for her oral advocacy and brief writing skills during law school.

Narrative

Ms. Smith was admitted to the Louisiana bar in 2023. Upon graduation, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Ivan L.R. Lemelle of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, for whom she also served as an extern in her first year of law school. Prior to joining Blue Williams, Ms. Smith worked in New Orleans as an associate for an AM Law 200 firm.
