Mr. de Gruy obtained a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2021. He went on to Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert School of Law where he earned his juris doctorate in 2024. In addition to his juris doctorate, Mr. de Gruy earned a Degree in Comparative Law and a Certificate in Energy and Environmental Law & Policy at LSU.

Mr. de Gruy graduated law school in 2024. Prior to being admitted to the bar, he clerked a Louisiana Sea Grant and Blue Williams, LLC. He was admitted to the bar in 2024 and began practicing in the area of maritime/admiralty, longshore act, and defense base act insurance defense.
