Born in Baton Rouge and raised in Lafayette, Ms. Mitchell graduated from St. Thomas More Catholic High School in Lafayette, Louisiana. She then attended Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and minor in professional writing in 2018. Thereafter, she attended Loyola University of New Orleans College of Law and earned her Juris Doctorate in 2021.
Narrative
Ms. Mitchell was admitted to the Louisiana bar in 2021. While in law school, Ms. Mitchell clerked at Louisiana Court of Appeal, Third Circuit in Lafayette, Louisiana, for the Honorable Judge Phyllis Keaty. She also worked for the legal department of CrescentCare New Orleans during the height of the coronavirus pandemic. Ms. Mitchell was involved with various organizations during her law school career, such as the Mentor Program, the Student Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association. She was also involved with the alternative dispute resolution team as well as the trial advocacy team, competing in a Texas-based competition in her third year.
Before joining Blue Williams, Ms. Mitchell worked primarily in insurance defense litigation and special needs education litigation.
