Attorney Brief

Mr. Reinhardt is of counsel to the firm in the Metairie office and has been with Blue Williams since 2005. His practice consists primarily of business consulting, employment law, estate planning, and wills and trusts. He has been a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association since 1970.

Education

Mr. Reinhardt graduated from Jesuit High School in New Orleans, Louisiana and received his bachelor of science degree from Louisiana State University in 1967. He obtained his juris doctorate from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 1970, where he was the recipient of the Henry George McMahon Scholarship.

Narrative

Mr. Reinhardt began practicing law in New Orleans with the firm of Phelps Dunbar in 1970, where he became partner in 1973. In 1976, he left Phelps Dunbar to form his own firm, where he practiced until becoming of counsel to Blue Williams in 2005. He has practiced in the employment field on a national basis since 1978. Mr. Reinhardt has lectured for the New Orleans Bar Association, the LSU Law School in its Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program, and at Tulane and the University of New Orleans Business Schools. He has also authored articles on negotiating employment contracts and severance agreements. For over twenty years, Mr. Reinhardt has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America and Louisiana Super Lawyers. He was also named to the New Orleans CityBusiness Leadership in Law class of 2009, which recognized 50 leading legal professionals based on professional and community achievements. Mr. Reinhardt is an emeritus member of the Fore!Kids Foundation, which hosts the Zurich Classic of New Orleans—the local PGA Tour event— was a member of its board for fifteen years, serving as chairman of the Foundation board from 2006 to 2009, chairman of the Foundation’s charity committee for five years and  tournament chairman in 2000. He also served for eight years on the LSU Tiger Athletic Foundation’s board of directors.

He is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Western and Middle Districts of Louisiana, the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States 11th Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the American Bar Association and Louisiana State Bar Association. Mr. Reinhardt holds an AV® Preeminent Peer Review Rated certification mark from Martindale-Hubbell.
