Narrative
Healthcare and professional liability disputes often require counsel to master complicated facts quickly. Medical-malpractice cases may involve extensive treatment histories, competing expert opinions, and allegations that place a provider’s professional judgment and reputation at issue. Professional liability matters present their own challenges, including specialized legal standards, licensing board procedures, and questions concerning where and how an incident occurred.
Chelsey helps clients organize those issues into a focused defense strategy. In medical-malpractice matters, she assists healthcare professionals and organizations with evaluating the allegations, reviewing medical records, coordinating with expert witnesses, conducting discovery, preparing witnesses, and developing the factual and legal defenses necessary to move the case toward resolution. She also represents licensed professionals in matters before state licensing and disciplinary boards, helping clients respond to complaints, prepare for board proceedings, and protect a license central to their livelihood.
Chelsey understands that clients need more than technically correct legal work. They need timely communication, realistic assessments, and a strategy aligned with their business or professional priorities. She works to explain complicated issues clearly so clients can make informed decisions throughout the litigation process.
Chelsey joined Blue Williams in 2023 after beginning her litigation career in Houston. While attending law school, she gained in-house experience as a summer associate in Texas Southern University’s Office of General Counsel.
