Litigation Attorney

Blue Williams, LLC is seeking a full-time Litigation Attorney with a minimum of five years of experience to join our Metairie office.

Experience in toxic tort litigation and insurance law is preferred. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and case management skills and be able to accurately record billable time on a daily basis.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing litigation files from inception through resolution

• Drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents

• Conducting legal research and writing

• Attending and taking depositions

• Appearing in court and arguing motions

• Assisting with trial preparation and trial proceedings

Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and possess outstanding academic credentials, as well as exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Admission to the Louisiana Bar is required.

Blue Williams LLC is seeking experienced litigation attorneys to join our downtown Houston office.

The ideal candidates will have 3+ years of litigation experience, with a preference for experience in first- and third-party insurance defense. Candidates should possess exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills, along with substantial experience handling personal injury, automobile, trucking, and product liability matters.

Qualified candidates will have experience:

• Retaining and working with expert witnesses

• Taking and defending depositions

• Drafting dispositive motions

• Reporting to insurance carriers

• Accurately capturing billable time on a daily basis

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, organized, and interested in building a long-term career with the firm.

Preference will be given to candidates with trial experience in Harris County and a portable book of business.

This position offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of litigation matters, including high-exposure personal injury cases as part of a collaborative team, as well as independently managing lower-exposure cases from inception through resolution.
