David W. Medack

Attorney Brief

David Medack joined Blue Williams in 2026 as a Partner in the Houston office. Mr. Medack has been trying cases and defending clients for the last 34 years in Texas State Court and in U.S. District Court. He regularly represents clients in litigated matters involving premises liability, commercial trucking and transportation, commercial and residential construction, toxic chemical exposure, and product liability matters.

 

Education

Mr. Medack attended the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville, where he received his juris doctorate in 1991. Prior to that, he attended the University of Houston – Clear Lake, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in American Jurisprudence/Legal Studies in 1986.

Narrative

Mr. Medack was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1992 and began his litigation practice immediately. In 1998, he was a founding member of the trial firm of Heard & Medack, P.C.   Over the next 27 years, Mr. Medack aggressively defended his litigation clients before merging the practice of Heard & Medack with Blue Williams.

Mr. Medack is admitted to the State Bar of Texas, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Mr. Medack is also a member of the Houston Bar Association, the Texas Association of Defense Counsel, the Defense Research Institute, and CLM – Claims and Litigation Management Alliance.
