Best and Giambrone Successfully Defend Jefferson Parish

Congratulations to Jacob Best and Guice Giambrone for successfully defending Jefferson Parish in a wrongful death jury trial. On April 11, 2018, a Jefferson Parish jury returned a verdict of no liability in a wrongful death case involving a pedestrian fatality in Harvey, LA. The Plaintiffs alleged the Parish negligently designed and maintained a traffic signal at an intersection on Manhattan Boulevard and that caused their mother’s death. The Plaintiffs demanded several hundred thousand dollars in settlement prior to trial. The Jury deliberated for several hours and eventually found there was no causal connection between the design of the intersection and the pedestrian’s death.
