Craig Sweeney Secures Trial Victory on Premises Liability Case
On Thursday, May 31st Craig Sweeney, a partner at Blue Williams, secured a complete victory for his client, a prominent St. Tammany Parish property owner on a premises liability case. The plaintiff alleged property damage after her home was struck by a tree limb, which the plaintiff asserted was caused by our client’s negligence and lack of care. Following the plaintiff’s presentation of evidence, Mr. Sweeney was able to successfully demonstrate to the Court that the plaintiff failed to meet her burden of proof under Louisiana Civil Code Article 2317.1 and that an involuntary dismissal was proper. As a result, and without calling any witnesses, Mr. Sweeney was able to secure a complete victory for our client in an efficient, prompt and cost effective manner, which is demonstrative of the representation provided by Blue Williams, L.L.P.
