Towers attends Jefferson Chamber’s “Day at the Legislature”
Yesterday, Frank Towers, a Partner with Blue Williams, L.L.P., accompanied members of the Jefferson Parish Chamber of Commerce to meet with State Representatives and State Senators in Baton Rouge to discuss bills impacting Jefferson Parish businesses and citizens. While there, Frank had an opportunity to meet with Senator Conrad Appel, Senator Danny Martiny, and Representative Robert Billiot for a reception at the Capitol Park Welcome Center. While many bills were discussed, one bill in particular piqued everyone’s interest which was HB 372 sponsored by Representative Kirk Talbot of Jefferson Parish. The purpose behind HB 372 is to address factors contributing to the high insurance costs in this state to include the highest auto insurance premiums in the nation.
