Alternative Dispute Resolution
Our attorneys are well-versed in mediation and arbitration proceedings. Mediation is a process through which a specially-trained attorney or judge serves as a neutral third party to assist parties in reaching a settlement. Clients, aided by their counsel, decide how cases will be resolved through mutual agreement on all sides. Arbitration is a process through which an arbitrator hears evidence from both sides and reaches a decision that is binding on the parties. Both mediation and arbitration are beneficial in that they are often more cost-effective and efficient than litigation. Remote mediations are also available upon request due to any restrictions upon in-person mediations as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
